Varsity vs BETHLEHEM HIGH SCHOOL (13 - 1) Win By: George Spragens The Knights pounded out 9 hits and used a trio of young pitchers to knock off the Bethlehem Eagles at Dean Watts Park on Monday, 13-1. Freshmen Trey Rakes and Xavier Hayden, and 8th-grader Conner Cox combined to strike out six Eagles batters and scatter five hits as the Knights improved their record to 5-2 on the season. Senior Jackson Willett went 3-5 at the plate with three RBIs, a double, and three stolen bases to lead Marion County's offense. Willett also turned a third-to-first double-play to close out the game on defense. Fellow seniors Keaton McCauley and Tristan Montgomery both went 2-4 at the plate with Montgomery also recording three RBIs. Hayden picked up the win on the mound for the Knights.
